The coaching licence: first steps
A licence proves a coach's knowledge. How to start, and how to show it on ScoutPro.
A coaching licence confirms that you have completed training and know how to plan and run a session. Many clubs and academies choose coaches by their licence.
Where to start
Licences are issued by the national football federation, which also runs the courses. Levels usually start with an introductory one and go up step by step. Each level has its own requirements: study, practice and assessment. Check the exact conditions with the federation.
Practice matters
Alongside the course, work with a team, even as an assistant. A licence confirms knowledge; experience makes it stronger.
Your licence on ScoutPro
Upload a photo of your licence in your dashboard, under "Licences and documents". The administrator checks the document, and once it is approved it appears on your profile. This is free.
Verification
Coaches and referees can also verify their identity. A verified profile has a green mark next to the name, which gives clubs and parents extra confidence.
